RENTAL AGREEMENT
MYKONOS ON WHEELS (Lessor) and the undersigned, called the Hirers hereby agree and mutually accept the following:
Lessors hereby rent to Hirer the vehicle specifically described overteat, which the lessor has carefully examined and found in excellent mechanical condition and parts of the vehicle and with all accessories (Helmets, locks, etc.) which the Hirer is responsible to return in exactly the same condition.
The Hirer is responsible:
a. for damages or injuries caused by the vehicle to property or persons (passengers or not).
b. for any damage caused to the vehicle force majeure, included.
c. and shall pay any damage to the vehicle, as well as idle time.
The Hirer must:
a. in case of damage, or accident, immediately Inform the Lessor and the competent authorities, if required,
b. In case of accident, cooperate with the Lessor and the insurance company by providing names of witnesses and useful information.
c. The renter is obliged for the payment of any fine or traffic fine that may occur during the rental period.
d. the renter is obliged for the payment for the days that the vehicle has remained unreserved.
That the vehicle should not be operated:
a. in a way that the insurance will be invalid,
b. to transport goods is a violation of existing regulations,
c. by any person except the Hirer,
d. outside Mykonos island,
e. against traffic and safety regulations,
t for more than two persons.
The Hirer must return the vehicle on the agreed date as otherwise he is able to illegal possession.
Minimum rental. One (1) day (24 hours), a every hour in excess is calculated at 1/5 of the daily rate. If the Hirer doesn't inform the renter two (2) hours before the contract expires, one daily rate will be charged.
All our vehicles are covered by:
a. Liability Insurance against physical damages to third parties (excluding the driver) for injuries or death up to 1.300.000,00 €.
b. Liability Insurance against material damages to third parties (excluding our vehicles) up to 1.300.000,00 €.
The insurance does NOT apply in the following cases:
a. In any kind of incident for which it is attested that the driver is under the Influence of alcohol or drugs.
b. For damages that are caused by driving on non-asphalt roads.
c. For damages caused to the lower part (underneath) the vehicle, or to the tires and rims. (minimum cost 250 euros).
d. In case of vandalism.
e. For accidents caused by a driver who is not referred in the rental contract.
f. In case of damage or accident for which the renter has not informed MYKONOS ON WHEELS or the competent authorities, nor has he submitted the relevant accident declaration, as required by Greek law, regardless if he/she is responsible or not. Possible damages to the rented vehicle remain full responsibility of the renter. The renter is obliged for the payment for the days that the vehicle has remained unreserved.
g. the accessories (helmets, locks, etc.) are not covered by any insurance. (minimum cost 50 euros).
In case the vehicle or any part of the vehicle has been stolen, then it's the renters foul responsibility.
AGE REQUIREMENT:
The driver must be at least 23 years old in order to rent a scooter and at least 26 years old in order to rent an atv, (for more information about the minimum age, please refer to the selected vehicle) In the other case you need to buy the extra Item "Driver under 23 (scooter) or 26 (atv) years old."
ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
a. Driver's License (DL): The driver must be a holder of a driver's license for the respective vehicle category, (for more information about the Driving License Category, please refer to the selected vehicle). The driver's license must be issued at least one year prior to the rental date. In the other case you need to buy the extra item "Driver's license issued less than one (1) year.
b. Passport or Identity Card
All the documents must be the ORIGINAL and NOT a photocopy or digital copy otherwise you can't rent the vehicles.
INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE (IDL):
Please note that if you do not have a Driving License issued from an EU country, UK, USA, CANADA or AUSTRALIA, you will need to bring an International Driving License (IDL) along with your national license to rent the vehicle. If your driving license is written in non Roman Alphabet, it must be complemented by an international driving permit.
INSURANCE:
All our vehicles are covered by:
a. Liability Insurance against physical damages to third parties (excluding the driver) for injuries or death up to 1.300.000,00
b. Liability insurance against material damages to third parties (excluding our vehicles) up to 1.300.000,00 € provided that the accident was not caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Possible damages to the rented vehicle remain full responsibility of the renter. Damage to the rims and tires, underneath the vehicle, fire and acts of vandalism such as stolen pieces (mirrors) or accessories (helmets) on any vehicle are not covered by any insurance.
POSSIBLE DAMAGES TO THE VEHICLE:
In case of any damage on any vehicle such as scratches, the minimum cost is € 30 per piece damaged. If the piece is broken or lost and has to be replaced, the cost is calculated from the official website of the rented vehicle. The renter is obliged for the payment for the days that the vehicle remains unreserved.
LOSS OF VEHICLE ACCESSORIES:
The renter is obliged to pay for all the losses of vehicle accessories during the rental period.
Helmets: €50 per piece
Normal Keys: € 15 €40, depends on the model.
Smart Keys: € 200-300, depends on the model.
Loss of vehicle accessories are not covered by any insurance.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE:
In case of any problem with our vehicles during your stay in Mykonos, you can call us immediately at the emergency phone number that we provide upon your arrival.
Free Roadside Assistance during working hours (09:00-20:00)
24 hours roadside assistance (an extra charge of €2 per day).
If the renter chooses not to include 24 hours roadside assistance, then there is a €50 charge in case of roadside assistance for outside of Working hours.
PAYMENT POLICY:
Please remeniber that after the cormation process you can NOT change the payment method upon arrival.
There are two (2) payment methods:
11 Cash payment upon arrival: With this option you are able to reserve your desired vehicle today and to pay upon arrival with cash. The credit/debit card details are used only for a pre-authorisation 14 days before arrival in order to guarantee the reservation. If the credit card details are not correct the reservation is canceled immediately. Driver's name must match the name on the credit/debit card.
21 Pay by Credit Card: With this option you are able to pay the total amount today in order to reserve the vehicle. Driver's name must match the name on this credit card otherwise the reservation is canceled. A major credit/debit card (Visa or Mastercard) in the name of the main driver is required in order to collect the vehicle. Cards without the driver's name on, will not be accepted. The credit/debit card holder will be required to present the same credit/debit card upon arrival along with his/her Driving License and Passport which must match the name on this credit/debit card.
PREPAYMENT POLICY:
I authorize MYKONOS ON WHEELS to charge my credit card that is mentioned above, with the amount that is mentioned at the voucher, for my reservation.
Personal Details are strictly confidential and may be used by MYKONOS ON WHEELS only to guarantee the reservation or other services offered by the agency. Details may be asked from the bank, in order to verify the cardholder's identity.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel only by contacting our office. In case of cancellation up to 14 days before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. In case of cancellation later than 14 days the full charge of the whole rental will be applied to your credit card. In case of no-show, the entire rent will be charged to the credit card. In case of early departure the entire rent will be charged.
SECURITY DEPOSIT ON PICK-UP:
A credit/debit card preauthorization is needed (scooters 110cc-125cc €300,00) (atv's 450cc 600cc € 600,00). The deposit is not charged to your credit/debit card, just blocked. When you return the vehicle after the rental, the deposit amount will be unblocked.
The Driving License (DL), Passport and Identity Card (ID) must match the name on the credit/debit card provided. Cards without the driver's name on, will not be accepted.
SECURITY DEPOSIT RELEASE:
Please be aware that those funds will be unavailable to you until after you return the vehicle and it can take 3-5 working days for credit cards and up to 25 working days for debit cards (depending on your bank).
RENTAL PERIOD:
The minimum duration of the renting contract is one day (24 hours). Every additional hour is calculatert at 1/5 of the daily rate.
FUEL POLICY:
The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel/gasoline as has been given to. The customer is responsible for the payment of all fuel/gasoline consumed during the rental period. In case that is less fuel/gasoline at the tank, the renter is obliged to pay the difference in CASH.
Refueling Service: €10 (Please note that this fee does not include the amount of the fuel/gasoline).
TRAFFIC FINES:
The renter is obliged to cover the cost of any traffic violation fine that may occur during the rental period such as a parking ticket, speeding fine, etc.
Fine Administration Fee: € 10 (Please note that this fee does not include the amount of the fine)
IMPORTANT: In the unlikely event of a fine, should the renter fail to inform us and leave, the fine will be dispatched to our lawyer through the embassy and the expenses and administration fees are between € 300 € 600 (the amount of the fine is not included). The total cost is obligatory to be paid by the renter.
The renter is required to pay for the days that the vehicle remains unreserved.
HELMET USE:
Helmet use is strictly mandatory by law. In case you are stopped by the police without wearing a helmet, the fine is €50 and they will confiscate your driving license and the vehicle's license plate for 20 days. This results in a significant penalty, as you will be charged the daily rental rate multiplied by 20, in addition to the administrative cost of the paperwork involved €50.
For your safety and to avoid unnecessary expenses or complica lons, please wear your helmet at all times while driving.
TAKING THE VEHICLE OUTSIDE OF MYKONOS ISLAND:
Please note that you are NOT allowed to take the vehicle outside of Mykonos Island. The insurance is NOT valid outside of Mykonos island and you are riding the vehicle uninsured.
PERSONAL DATA & GDPR:
After I was fully informed about the way in which the Company manages my personal data, I provide my unconditional consent to the Company for the processing of my personal data, with or without profiling.
"By accepting the above, I hereby accept the General Terms & Conditions and Payment & Cancellation Policies of MYKONOS ON WHEELS for this reservation.
*Failure to comply with the above mentioned requirements, with the Greek law requirements and with our terms of service will result in a non-refundable cancellation.
The Greek courts of Cyclades islands prefecture have the authority to settle any dispute that may appear between the two parties.
